As-built documents are revised construction drawings that show the actual installation, including any deviations from the original design. They are essential for future maintenance, warranty claims, and asset sales.

Because they are usually produced by subcontractors after construction, as-builts are a common source of closeout delays. PMs spend significant time following up for final versions and verifying they match the installed system.
